Cili Jeruk (Chili Pickle)


  • Slice the green chilies, put them in jar. Add 3/4 jar of vinegar + 1/4 jar of water+ a pinch of salt & sugar. Done! Keep it in the fridge, it can last for months.

Eggs Sambal


  • 5 hard boiled eggs - halved
  • 2 large onions - sliced(if like onion can put more)
  • sambal oelek
  • salt & pepper
  • sugar
  1. Arrage slice hard boiled eggs in a plate.
  2. Heat oil, saute the onion. 
  3. Add the sambal oelek. Mix well. If too dry, add some water.
  4. Add in salt, pepper, sugar to taste.
  5. Pour the sauce over the eggs! Done , serve.

Sotong Kicap


  • about 15 squids - I bought frozen from Korean Grocer, quite fresh.
  • 1 large onion - sliced
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick 
  • Some dried chili - optional
  • 2 green chili
  • 1 Tbsp ground ginger paste and Garlic paste
  • 1 Tbsp Sambal Oelek
  • Dark Soy Sauce
  • Sweet Soy Sauce (Kicap Manis)
  • Tomato Sauce
  • Oyster Sauce
  • 1 Tomato - cut cube
  • Scallion
  1. Heat oil, throw in the cinnamon stick, curry leaves. then the sliced onion, ginger and garlic paste.
  2. Add in the sambal oelek, dark soy sauce, sweet soy sauce, tomato sauce and oyster sauce. Stir well. Then the tomato cube.
  3. Add in a little bit of water, not too much because the squids will produce more liquid.
  4. Once the sauce bubbly, add in the squids. Keep stirring until fully cooked.
  5. Salt & pepper to taste. Add in chopped scallion. Serve!

Sweet & Sour Eggs


  • 6 Eggs
  • 1 onion - sliced
  • 3 Tbsp Maggi brand Tomato Sauce
  • 3 Tbsp Lingham Chili Sauce
  • 1/2 Red bell pepper
  • 1/2 Green bell pepper or green chili 
  • Sugar, Salt & Pepper
  1. Fry eggs over hard. Set aside.
  2. Heat oil on medium fire, browned the sliced onion.
  3. Add in tomato sauce and Lingham sauce, mix well.
  4. Throw in the chili and bell pepper.
  5. Add in sugar, salt and pepper to taste. Serve.
