- Marinate fish pieces with turmeric powder and some salt. Fry it, set aside.
- Heat oil in wok, saute some onion slices, add in chilli paste and 1 0r 2 bruised lemon grass. Saute until fragrant.
- Add in tamarind juice and coconut milk or milk(optional).
- Add some sugar and salt to taste.
- Add in the fish and top with onion rings.
- Remove from heat. Serve.
