Chili Chicken


  • Chicken pieces marinate with a bit of salt,turmeric powder, garlic/ginger/onion paste
  • Potatoes & Carrots cubes (optional)
  • Cinnamon Stick/Star Anise/Clove/Curry Leaves --*A
  • 1 Tbsp Chili Powder (can add another Tbsp if prefer more spicy)
  • 2 Tbsp Curry Powder
  • 1 1/2 cups Water or Chicken broth (more flavour)
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  1. Heat oil , add in *A, stir fry until fragrant, add in the marinated chicken pieces.
  2. Stir fry every once in a while, until the chicken is half cooked, add in the potatoes & carrots. Stir.
  3. Scoop in the curry powder and chili powder, stir well then add in water or broth.
  4. Stir well, once boiled, slow the fire and let it cook until chicken and potatoes & all are well cooked. In between, make sure to stir every now and then.
  5. Salt & pepper to taste. Let the sauce thicken to the consistency that you like. Off fire and serve with rice.
