Potatoes with peas


  • 1 medium red onion -finely chopped 1/2 tsp Chopped ginger 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder 3 green chillies(or more..)
  • 4 large potatoes - cut cubed & pre-boiled until soft
  • 1 cup of peas (canned or frozen)
  • 4-5 Tbsp Oil
  • Salt
  • some coriander leave
Method :
  1. Heat oil in a deep pan (or wok)over medium flame, fry onions, ginger and green chillies for 4-5 minutes. Stir frequently.
  2. Reduce the heat to low, add turmeric powder, cumin powder and chilli powder. Stir well and fry for a minute.
  3. Add the potatoes. Stir and cook until the spices are blended completely.
  4. Add salt to taste then add the peas, cover the pan and let cook like 2 or 3 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat. Stir in half the chopped coriander and sprinkle the remaining half on top. -optional.
